![]() | One thing I hate about Dell is the online shopping. I can't even see the notebook in person (in London) without buying it first though I did see someone in the library today with a black one. I would like to know if the XPS is worth it over the Vostro. I like both, though with the Vostro I can get an external monitor for the same price as the equivalent XPS. The XPS design and weight appeals to me though I'll be happy with the Vostro as well. Also : - Does anyone have a 1920x1200 resolution on their 15.4" notebook and what is that like? I've never seen a screenshot of one so have no idea how small the text could be. My current notebook has 1680x1050 resolution so I'm used to having high res. - Are any of the screen options LED, or are they still LCD? The Aussie and American sites have LED screens as an option. - Is there an XPS or Vostro around London that I can actually see? - How do I go about paying? I don't have a UK credit card (though I have an international VISA card), I have a local bank account that I can also use to pay. The site isn't that helpful in payments compared to the Australian version. Thanks in advance. |

| Administrator | I think you can see the XPS M1530 in PC World, not sure if they would have one with a 1920x1200 res screen though. |

![]() | Well I sent an order for the M1530 and payment via VISA which I received the mail with my customer number and order number and delivery date, but when I tried to check my order status it said that my order was cancelled. I didn't get any mail notifying me of this. |

Give them a call to find out why.... I've bought an M1530 with the 1920x1200 WUXGA screen - very nive - you wont be disappointed although the text is quie small I find it OK - you can change the resolution for text if you want but still have the higher res for games/movies etc. | |
