Default looking for advice, which one should I buy?

Dell XPS m1530 or Vostro 1500.

within a similar specification. 1500 has better CPU, memory, Hard drive, old fashioned.

XPS looks stunning and 30 pounds expensive.

What is difference that "WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display" and "WXGA (1280 x 800) Display "?

Could anyone tell me "are they both has same screen?"
and Xps is 8600gt ddr 3 , is Vostro 1500 the same? or vostro is only ddr2.

I am pretty sure you are right about the 256MB nVidia 8600mGT in the the XPS M1530 using DDR3 whereas the graphics card in the Vostro 1500 uses DDR2. This is going to give a few fps performance increase. Not too sure about the screens though, they specify an ultrasharp screen for the xps m1530 whereas for the vostro 1500 they do not. I would guess that the screen would be of a higher quality for the XPS.

The difference in the processor spec is quite big between the two. The Intel Penryn T8300 beats the Core 2 Duo T5450 easily. I guess you will need to decide whether the processor in the XPS M1530 will satisfy your needs, if not it may be worth waiting until the Penryn become available in the XPS M1530 in the UK.

I think you made a good choice! I am still making my mind up between the XPS M1330 and The XPS M1530.

Let us know how it is when you get your hands on it......
