Default help with a new pc!

hiya!
i would like to buy a new dell. The latest deals run out on the 13th Feb, and I'm wondering if I should wait until the new deals come out, or just go for it.

Am I right in thinking there are no discount codes at the moment for 10% off?

I've found an Inspiron 530 with an intel Quad-core (can't go for Viiv as I need a PC with XP not Vista), 4Gb RAM, 750Gb harddrive, and a 24" black widescreen monitor for £789.

Is this the best deal I can get with this or are there extra codes etc?

Many thanks for your help in advance

Also can I get this cheaper going through a small business type thing? or are you only allowed to get them through home? (it is for home not work!)

In previous years, the best deals were in late March (end of the financial year) but although last March had some great deals, in June they had some even better deals (desktops) that were being discontinued.

Current deals seem pretty good to be honest, there never seems a best time (there's always something faster for teh same money a few months later)

As for small business, yes anyone can order via that.... you have to remember the prices shown are excluding VAT and delivery so you have to go to the checkout to see the final total (of course you can then cancel the order and start again)

When ordering from Small business section you're asked for the business name, just use your own name or initials. Also remember that for business purchases you don't have the same consumer protection but of course there's still a Dell guarantee.

Keep checking via DMXdimension as the best deals are usually found here (and sometimes not easy to find at Dell)

Last years some deals were almost impossible to find without the links provided from here

Hi jamtart,

Unfortunately Dell UK have not released any discount codes for use with any desktop or laptop since last month.

thanks for your advice. i have decided to tone it down somewhat to a 22inch monitor and 500gb harddrive (will i ever need 750gb of harddrive space?) and keep the quad core processor and 4gb ram, its about £600 now instead.
