![]() | Hi, i have been looking to buy a dell xps 420 system and while customising it on the monitors section i noticed that there was a £130 difference between two monitors of the same size. So i just wanted to know what is the difference between the 22" Wide Monitor (£130 cheaper) and the 22in E228WFP WIDESCREEN UK/Irish (1680 x 1050) TCO99 DVI-D? Also could you let me know if the difference is a substantial one and whether it is worth buying the more expensive one? by the way the system i was looking at was the xps 420 D06X411. Thanks Last edited by AdilH; 01-06-2008 at 11:50 AM. |

| Administrator | Hi AdiLH, The only options I can see for D06X411 are: 22in E228WFP WIDESCREEN UK/Irish (1680 x 1050) TCO99 DVI-D [Included in Price] or the option for base unit only: No 22" Wide Monitor [subtract £129.99] |

![]() | yes those were the two options i was talking about, i wanted to know what the main difference is between the two of them and if it is worth buying the 22in E228WFP WIDESCREEN UK/Irish (1680 x 1050) TCO99 DVI-D [Included in Price] or if i should just save £130 and buy the No 22" Wide Monitor [subtract £129.99] Thanks |

| Administrator | The second option ( No 22" Wide Monitor [subtract £129.99] ) is for the base unit only........i.e the XPS 420 tower without a monitor. The E228WFP is a really nice monitor and I have read some great reviews for it, I am sure you will be impressed. |

![]() | oh right, i thought that the No 22" Wide Monitor [subtract £129.99] was a different type of monitor, i didn't think it actually meant NO monitor included. Thanks for clearing that up for me! |
