I wish I had, but unfortunately Dell have not released any this week. It is very rare for there to be any coupons that can be used on the Small Business website anyway.

Enjoy your new XPS M1530. Let us know how it is when you get it.

i paid by visa electron, now i know the site says it doesnt accept it but mine went through...hmm it may get rejected but we'll see! Currently the site says i will receive the laptop on 20th may 2008

- just to put my mind at rest, is it ever likely [from past trends] that this config would come at a cheaper price..say in the next month or so?

Current laptop prices will always reduce in the future as newer components are introduced (eg new processor )

IMO, if you need a laptop get it now instead of waiting for better deals because you will ask the same question again in the future.

I am looking at the new Vostro 1510 now, today is the last day for the £25 off. But i cant find any review anywhere for this new laptop.

Yea , i always visit that site too. But too bad they only have the review for vostro 1310 and not the vostro 1510.

hey guys,

received my lovely xps 1530! A quick rundown of pros and cons:

pros:

- Had laptop within 6 days [4 days if we exclude the weekend]
- looks great! very slim
- great benchmarks 3DMark06 [4784]
- did not encounter grainy screen problem! I've got an AUO2077
- good battery life [3hrs+]

cons:

- Poor XP Driver support *used notebook forum to find drivers for xp*
- Always having to clean finger print marks!
- Far too much bloatware, will have to reformat and re-partition the extra 10 gig i am missing
- Fans can be quite loud.

*solution to this is too undervolt your machine. Fans aren't as loud as they were on default settings*
