ok, i found a product code on their own webby, but copied and pasted it, and it said it was invalid. This is the code i have - UKDHSONL-N0172005.

Ok, to reach the system you are interested in ( Inspiron 1720 - Evalue Code N0172005) go to the Inspiron 1720 deals page, click through the direct link for the evalue system N0172005.

Now when you have configured your system and added it to your shopping basket you will see a box to enter your Dell coupon. The coupon is displayed on our Inspiron 1720 deals page, just under the heading 'Inspiron 1720 Voucher Codes and Discount Coupons' above the latest deals table. Enter the coupon and apply to get the 10% discount.

Is there any particular reason why you think this may be the last coupon for a while ? Could Dell be about to lower prices again ?

I have been dithering for a few months about the XPS1330 and am constantly watching prices and coupons. But I usually find that the net price is always the same, whether or not there is a coupon offer available. It's as if Dell increase prices by around 10% when a coupon offer is available, and then they reduce them again afterwards when the coupon has expired.

But one of your current offers has just caught my eye because not only is it a 10% discount, the delivery charge is also wiped out, and that certainly makes it a more attractive option. I just need to read some more positive reviews about the 1330, and then I may take the plunge, hopefully not to find afterwards that Dell reduce the prices !! :D

Hi scot1,

There are some really very good deals from Dell UK at the moment and I personally can only see the prices going up in February.

The reason for the low prices and discount coupons of late could be due to a number of possible reasons:

Christmas shopping/January sales....... January is the end of Dell 's financial year so they are trying to get a final push of sales....I expect the XPS line up to get refreshed with the Intel Penryn processor in Feb/March, hence the push to move their current stock of processors.

The XPS M1330 deals with the shipping charge wiped out may very well be mistakes by Dell, so if I was after a XPS M1330 I would definitely not be hanging around. BTW the Dell 10% discount coupon can be used to get a FURTHER 10% discount off of the prices I have indicated in the deal listings.

Just wanted to say many thanks for posting that awesome deal on the XPS M1330 on the site the other day - the £539 one. Managed to order myself one, but with a 1.83GHz CPU and the LED backlit display for £557 with that 10% discount code. Incredible price for such a good machine!

I really appreciate the effort, it's the third time I've used this site to buy Dell stuff; first time was an Inspiron 630m back in early 2006, and more recently in June/July last year when I got my Mother a Dimension C521 - AMD Athlon X2, 320GB HDD and a 20" LCD for £254!

Thanks for your earlier reply and advice Admin. Unfortunately the coupon offer had expired by the time I reached a decision. But some of the optional upgrades have now been reduced in price, so even without the 10% discount offer, the 1330 is still worth considering. The decision would be a heck of a lot easier though if another coupon offer came along. :D
