Studio vs Inspiron?

Without to much marketing speel, whats the benifit of the studio over the Inspiron -were looking for a desktop replacement so size is not an issue.

I would say the benefits of the Studio 17 over the Inspiron 1720 are:

Style.....it looks so much nicer in my opinion
HDMI Port
LED Screen options
Slot load Optical Drive
Backlit Keyboard
Fingerprint reader option

The following dell page says the Backlit Keyboard is optional (under the design tab)
Dell Studio 17 Laptop Details
yet there does not appear to be an option to add this in the customise your pc bit.
Is this a typo and is the backlit keyboard actually as standard? and does this also apply to the 15"?

Does this mean all other parts are the same -were looking at one as a desktop replacement for my wife who uses it for itunes, internet, personal accountz and e-mail so i am not sure the need to pay the extra for the style - what are the LED options?

The WLED screen option as used on the MacBook Air is another £70 but would also appreciate feedback as to whether this is a worthwhile upgrade.

I expect the backlit keyboard option will appear in time. Dell always are slow to give full options for new products on the website while they ramp up production.
