Red face Inspiron1525 What do I need now. Advice please.

Hi all,
You will see from my post that I am a complete newbie when it comes to laptops!!!
At the moment I have a desk top PC, Windows Vista and I am usuing it with Virgins Broadband + wireless box.
I have just bought an Inspiron 1525 and now I need some advice.
Do I need to buy another wireless box thing?
Do I have to plug it in to the one I have?
I would like to use it another room from my PC desktop. How?
I would like to take it on the train and use it. How do I do this?
I know you can all stop laughing now!!

As you can see I am a real know nothing!!
Help please.

Hi Maxell,

Your Inspiron 1525 should be able to connect to your wireless broadband router with no problems at all. You will need to check the documentation that came with your Virgin wireless box for instructions.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your reply.

Does this mean then that I can only use my laptop in the room where I have my broadband wireless router?

It depends on the range of the wireless router, as well as other factors including thickness of walls and interference, but you should be able to connect to the internet via your wireless router in other rooms. Try it and see
