Default studio xps

hi
i'm finding this site pretty useful, thanks.
i'm about to purchase a studio xps and just wondered if any one had any general advice or comments before i buy. i noticed mixed reviews for the monitor (ultrasharp 2009w) anyone else used one? i will be doing alot of photo work.
this is the spec i have gone for,

i7 Processor 920 (2.66GHz, 8MB cache, 4.8GT/sec)
20in 2009W ultrasharp monitor
6144MB (6x1024) 1067MHz DDR3 Tri Channel
500GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
512MB ATI® Radeon® 4850
16X DVD+/- RW Optical Drive
Logitech MX3200 Cordless Keyboard and Laser Mouse

also 64 bit vista, i noticed mixed comments on compatability.
thanks.

That lot sounds pretty impressive really.... I think the only comment would be on Vista64 bit... make sure it's compatible with your existing devices, apparently some won't work as they don't have drivers for 64bit... scanners, printers, wireless devices etc and of course some software may not work, so antivirus, firewall software you have may need updating/replacing, especially dos and 16 bit as I understand.

However 64bit allows more than the 3Gb limit of regular 32bit windows, just check compatability.
