Default Can some one tell me?

Hi everyone.

I purchased a Dell Dimension 9150 for my son 18 months ago.
The computer come with Windows XP and the invoice also print

"MS logo Label for Vista Capable"

Does it means it can upgrade to Windows Vista free?

I sent an email to Dell 4 days ago but not receive any their reply

Thank you for any reply.

Hi,

The 'vista capable' logo alone does not entitle you to a free upgrade to Microsoft Vista, it just means that the computer hardware is capable of running Vista.

I remember a month or two before Vista was released Dell were offering XP on their machines with an option of a free upgrade to MS Vista when it became available but it was an option you had to select.
