Has anyone had any luck "haggling" with Dell over their prices? There havn't been any codes posted for a while.

I don't know what's happening with this coupon drought. I guess that Dell have been discounting so hard the last few months that it must have really hit their profit levels. But to be honest there are still some good deals to be found, especially on their XPS laptops. Hopefully there will be some more coupons coming along soon.

Yes it is possible to haggle with dell over the phone. Just rang up about a studio 15 and got £50 knocked off their online price. You have to be quite persistent but it is possible.

Righto - i phoned up this afternoon and got a little taken off the online price.

I've placed an order for an XPS 1530 for £689 with the following spec:

T8100 CPU
3Gb Ram
256 8600GT Gfx card
320Gb HDD
1440x900 screen.

I followed the e-value link given in the laptop deal section (N07X53D08 @ £699) which icedently is the same spec as the next system listed (N07X5308 @ £729) and then added the screen upgrade.

The 699 e-value code wasn't on the sales reps system so i had to send in a screen shot and then she took off an additional £30. (from £718).

I'm quite happy, i've just got my fingers crossed a voucher doesn't come out on Monday!! (is there a period i can cancel my order if a voucher comes out?)
