Inspiron, XPS and Vostro Laptops now with Intel Penryn CPUs from Dell UK - dmxdimension forums

The Intel Penryn processor is now available with the Inspiron 1720, XPS M1330, XPS M1730, Vostro 1400, 1500 and 1700 laptops from Dell UK.

Now we just have to wait for the XPS M1530...........

The "Penryn" CPU is another in Intel's line of "Core 2" processors and the first fabricated using its 45nm die technology.

Currently the only Penryn processors available from Intel are the:

T8100 2.1GHz, 3MB L2 Cache
T8300 2.4GHz, 3MB L2 Cache
T9300 2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache
T9500 2.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache

These new processors from Intel offer modest battery life increases and modest performance improvements over the Intel Core 2 Duo processors which use the 65nm die technology
